I have a decent road bike, and a turbo trainer, I have two decent sets of running shoes and I have the experience of attempting this race before, I know what I am facing this time. The weather, the hills, the muscle fatigue, the main thing is I need to get the miles under my belt. And this time I am determined to do so.
So, I'm back at it again, and this time I'm determined to complete The Race. I'm into week three of the training schedule that was provided to me by the organisers and so far I have only missed one training event. So it's looking good, but its early days. Last time I attempted this race I made two big errors; 1) I didn't do enough training and 2) I had never used a road bike before the event itself. So, I'm out to make up for these foolish errors.
