Well it’s done; I’ve paid the deposit for the Sahara Race 2010! I’ve got a place on the race, no going back now. This weekend I got the email through saying that I had a confirmed for October 2010. I can now start preparing for it. I’ve got plenty of time, but I’ve got plenty to do. At least now I have a reason for running and getting fit. I often find it hard to get motivated, as I don’t inherently enjoy running, I normally do it just because I know it’s good for me. Well now I’ve got the place there is at least a reason to go running. So, to start off on the right foot I went out with my housemates yesterday with a backpack on and ran a simple 3 mile route round Cardiff…I’ve got to find longer routes!

I felt this was the best way to keep all my challenges in one place. I intend to complete a number of challenges over the coming years. Some for charity, some purely for the challenge. Earlier this year I found out that I would not be going to Afghanistan in October, so I looked about for my next challenge. |
